As my named sheep age, we’ve decided to add in some show quality fleeces from younger, unnamed sheep. These are in the range of 3.4 to 4.3 kg (7.5 to 0.5 pounds), 14.7 to 16.9 micron diameter, staple lengths of 80 to 87 mm (3.1 to 3.4 in) and 68 to 86 N/ktex tensile strength. They’re organised by weight, then micron, then length in the drop down menu. The photos are me with the winning fleece at Bendigo Sheep and Wool Show this year, in the ultrafine micron section, and Allan Phillips, who bred these sheep for me, sorting out fleeces in my woolshed.
