Albert was the first of Vicki’s swains, at least that I noticed. To understand his name, you need to know that Vicki’s full name is Vicki Victoria. Hence Prince Consort Albert. Albert is now 10 years old. He was a bit leggy and funny-looking as a 1- and 2-year old (he’s the sheep on the left in the image). I have a theory that Vicki has told all her boyfriends that I’m basically ok. She and Prince, Leo, Albert, Elf, Curly and Horatio are a bit of a schoolyard gang. So, I often find all of them near me when I’m shepherding, because Vicki is ALWAYS with me if she can manage it. Albert’s fleece weight this year, 2025, is 2.8 kg/6.2 pd. TEST RESULTS: 16.4 micron, 79 mm/3.1” length, 62 N/ktex tensile strength.
