Horatio is named after Horatio Hornblower, in honour of his gorgeous horns. He’s not a pet, and he’s now 8 years old, but when he was younger, he decided that I was onto a good thing as flock leader, and he began tracking me. He’s generally near the front of the flock, often the first through a gate when I’m leading, though he won’t let me touch him. Horatio’s fleece weighs 2.9 kg/6.4 pd. TEST RESULTS: 19.5 micron; 51 mm/1.3” length; 52 N/ktex strength.

TEST RESULTS in 2015: 17.8 micron diameter, 91 mm/3.6" length, 60 Nktx strength. Horatio's fleece weight in 2015 was 3.5 kg, the heaviest of the named sheep last year.
